Cenarrusa Center Opens

cenarrusa.org

The Cenarrusa Center for Basque Studies in Boise, Idaho officially opened today at a ceremony marking the beginning of a new era in public knowledge of Euskadi and the Basque people. The evening also honored Pete and Freida Cenarrusa for thier contribution to the center and their continuing legacy. The affair was catered and great Basque food and wine was served for the 50 plus invited guests who attended. Izar and Maite attended along with thier parents and friends. John Krakau performed a traditional Basque dance.

Izar was acknowledged for her many contributions to the opening and for the design and development of the logo that appears on all of the other materials she designed for the Center.

A recently completed project incorporates my culture and heritage with my love for clean, crisp logo designs for a new project being developed for Boise named the Cenarrusa Center for Basque Studies. The Center will provide educational opportunities for people who want to know about Basques and research for the Basque Museum and Cultural Center also located in Boise.
